Boschkloof
Winery Description
Location and History
Nestled just eight kilometers west of Stellenbosch, Boschkloof is positioned in a prime wine-producing region characterized by rolling hills and picturesque mountain backdrops. The winery benefits from a maritime influence from False Bay, enhancing the quality of its wines. The vineyards thrive on decomposed granite and iron-rich duricrust soils, which support a diverse range of varietals. Established in 1996 by veteran winemaker Jacques Borman, the winery now operates under the guidance of his son, Reenen Borman, who has been in charge of winemaking since 2012. The Borman family continues to focus on developing site-specific wines that eloquently express the terroir of their land. Over more than 15 years, three families have come together at Boschkloof, ensuring a synergy of experience and commitment to the art of winemaking, which contributes to the premium quality of their offerings.
