Hidden Valley Wines
Winery Description
Location and History
Situated on the northern slopes of the Helderberg Mountain in Stellenbosch, Hidden Valley Wine Farm boasts breathtaking views over lush vineyards and Table Mountain. The estate spans approximately 40 hectares, with 3.75 hectares dedicated to vineyards planted in 2002, and new plantings scheduled. This prime location enjoys a unique terroir characterized by ancient granite soils, further enhanced by the cool sea breezes that contribute to the grapes' richness. The farm was acquired in 2015 by Riaan Stassen, who has revitalized the estate with modern architecture that harmonizes with the landscape. The winery is committed to environmental conservation and sustainable practices, earning recognition as a WWF Conservation Champion. As guests venture through the property, they are welcomed to discover its natural beauty, curated gardens, and the harmony between agriculture and the environment. The dedication to quality aligns with the philosophy of 'Working with nature,' ensuring that every bottle of wine reflects the farm's extraordinary sense of place.
