Langverwacht Cellar, situated in Bonnievale along the Stormsvlei road, was established in 1956, initially named Boesmansrivier Winecellar before adopting the Langverwacht name. The winery takes advantage of its warm summer days complemented by a cooling south-eastern ocean breeze, which promotes optimal vine growth in the sandy, rich lime, and red clay soils. Johan Gerber has been the winemaker for the past 34 years, dedicating himself to producing exceptional wines that display the unique characteristics of the terroir. The winery has garnered accolades, including the Michelangelo and Veritas awards, reaffirming its commitment to quality and excellence. Langverwacht specializes in producing easy-drinking, fruit-driven wines, with a significant production of over 13,000 tons of grapes annually, of which 85% are white varietals.
