Winery Description
Location and History
Nestled on the slopes of the Simonsberg mountain, Niel Joubert Wines boasts breathtaking landscapes, including five hills and ten dams replenished by a natural mountain spring. The family's commitment to quality began in 1898 when the Joubert family took ownership of the farm. Over the years, they have diversified into growing a range of fruits, including apples, pears, peaches, and blueberries. In 1994, the winery established its brand, honoring family patriarch Daan Joubert and capitalizing on expertise in horticulture and winemaking. With each generation, Niel Joubert Wines has maintained a dedication to producing high-quality wines that reflect the unique terroir of the region. The winemaker, Erni Leicht, continues to innovate while respecting traditional methods, ensuring that each offering embodies the family’s legacy and commitment to excellence.
