Nuy Winery
Winery Description
Location and History
Nuy Winery resides in the picturesque Nuy Valley, strategically situated along the R60 between Worcester and Robertson. The valley experiences a relatively low average rainfall, balanced by a consistent water supply sourced from the privately owned Keerom Dam. This unique environmental setup creates optimal conditions for viticulture. The winery's founding dates back to 1963, spearheaded by passionate wine enthusiasts dedicated to crafting exceptional wines. The terroir of Nuy contributes significantly to the character of its wines, while the winery has benefitted from the expertise brought by just four experienced Cellar Masters throughout its history. The focus remains on quality rather than quantity, with only 3% of the annual production of 17,000 tons bottled under the Nuy Winery label.
