Perdeberg Cellar is nestled at the foot of the Paardeberg Mountain in Windmeul, Paarl, South Africa. The region is part of a triangle formed by Paarl, Durbanville, and Swartland, known for its unique microclimates and diverse soil types, including decomposed granite, clay, and schist. Established in 1941 by local farmers dissatisfied with grape prices, the winery spans over 3000 hectares of unirrigated vineyards, cultivating a range of cultivars. The founders emphasised the importance of traditional winemaking practices alongside modern techniques. The cellar has expanded its offerings and gained recognition for its focus on sustainability, protecting local flora and fauna, while ensuring the preservation of the Cape Floral Kingdom.
