Located on the scenic slopes of the Helderberg Mountain, Pink Valley boasts a rich terroir conducive to premium rosé wine production. This scenic region features nine hectares of meticulously maintained vineyards, primarily dedicated to the cultivation of Sangiovese and Grenache grapes. Established in 2018, Pink Valley is the first South African wine venture by the esteemed Oddo Family of France, known for their commitment to crafting extraordinary wines that reflect the local environment. The lush, rolling hills and mild climate of the Helderberg produce exceptional grapes that flourish within its varied soil compositions. The wine tasting experience at Pink Valley centers on the exclusive offering of their signature rosé, crafted primarily from a blend of Sangiovese (85%) and Grenache (15%). This artisanal process respects traditional methods while incorporating modern techniques, resulting in a delicate onion skin color, range of flavors, and modest alcohol content of 12%. Guests can savor the unique Pink Valley Rosé, characterized by bright notes of watermelon, cherry, and citrus, all while experiencing the distinct mouthfeel derived from an extended lees contact process. The tasting room, located within a renovated cellar, provides visitors with a stylish environment to appreciate their offerings. Each label showcases original art inspired by South African abstract painter Walter Battiss, adding a visual element to the tasting experience.
